Το like που θα θυμαμαι για παντα! A like I will always remember

20 χρονια πριν, δουλευα στην πρωτη μου δουλεια, στην Κηφισιά. Είχα απο τοτε σαν χομπι τη διακοσμηση κι ετσι όλος μου ο μισθος πηγαινε σε ειδη σπιτιού και διακοσμητικα περιοδικα. Σ' ενα απο τα περιοδικα αυτα, ειδα για πρωτη φορα τη δουλεια του Karim Rashid. Συγκεκριμενα την ανακαινιση του ξενοδοχειου Semiramis, το οποιο απειχε 15 λεπτα με τα ποδια απο τη δουλεια μου. Εριξα μια ματια στις φωτογραφιες και μαγευτηκα! Αποφασισα να παω για ένα ποτό στο μπαρ του και η ζωη μου αλλαξε για παντα! Ο χωρος ηταν το πιο ομορφο μερος που εχω δει ποτε! Ενιωσα σαν να μπορουσα να ταξιδεψω μπρος-πίσω στο χρονο και να βρεθω απο τα 60s στις διαστημικες κατοικιες του μελλοντος! Εκεινη ακριβως τη στιγμή αποφασισα τι ηθελα να κανω στη ζωη μου!
Τα χρονια περασαν, ξεκινησα τη δική μου δουλεια, ανελαβα τον πιο σημαντικό ρολο της ζωής μου (αυτον της μαμας), ο ελευθερος χρονος εγινε απιαστο ονειρο. Η εικονα του "Semiramis" άρχισε να ξεθωριάζει στη μνημη μου.
Ώσπου εγινε το απιστευτο: Εφτιαξα μια παιδικη παπουτσοθήκη και την ανεβασα στο Instagram. Κοιταζοντας τα likes, μετα απο αρκετη ωρα, το ειδα και μου ηρθαν κυριολεκτικά δάκρυα στα μάτια! ΕΝΑ LIKE ΑΠΟ ΤΟΝ KARIM RHASID!!! Δεν εχω ξανανιώσει μεγαλύτερη υπερηφάνεια και συγκίνηση σε όλη μου την καριερα!!! Ξαφνικα ξανάγινα 20 χρονών, να πινω κοκτέιλ στο Semiramis και να θαυμαζω την υπέροχη δουλειά ενος Θεού του σύγχρονου design!!!
Karim Rashid χίλια ευχαριστώ μέσα από την καρδιά μου γι' αυτή τη μεγάλη τιμή! Αυτό το like θα το θυμάμαι για παντα!

20 years ago, I took my first job in Kifisia, a suburb of Athens. I was already focusing on interior design but had not really made my mind up to exactly what I really wanted to do in life.
My first salary was spent on buying home-ware and interior design magazines and in one of those interior design magazines, the creative work of Karim Rashid came to my notice, she was responsible for the interior design of the "Semiramis" hotel.
The design prompted an inquisitive profound impact in my mind and I wanted to explore and see this beautifully created interior for myself, fortunately the hotel was only 15 minutes away from where I was working at the time!
I decided to go for a drink after work and my life changed forever! I had never seen a more beautiful place in my entire life! I felt like I could travel through time, from the swinging 60s to the space homes of the future! It was right then and there, that I knew I wanted to become an Interior designer!
Years have gone by, I started my own business, took up the most important role of my life (by being a mama), free time was a true luxury for me. The image of "Semiramis" started to faint in my memory.
And then the unthinkable happened: I built a toddler shoe rack and uploaded the photo on Instagram. Checking my likes after a while, there it was, A "LIKE" FROM KARIM RHASID I burst into tears! I've never felt more proud and moved in my entire career! Suddenly I turned 20 again, having cocktails at the "Semiramis" bar and admiring the magnificent work of an interior design goddess!
Karim Rashid, thank from the bottom of my heart for this great honour! This is a like I will remember and cherish forever!!!
